How do I download my purchase?
After purchasing your sound pack(s), you will receive an email with a link to download your sounds instantly. Click on the link and your sounds will download to your computer.

How do I get the sounds into my MPC?
After downloading, your sound packs will be in a zip archive. Unzip the files using Winzip or similar software, and transfer this folder to your preferred disk medium (e.g. zip, CF Card etc.) or via USB (MPC1000 or MPC2500). Each MPC model may vary on how files are loaded. This will depend on your MPC's software version too. If you are a new MPC user please refer to your AKAI MPC manual for specific instructions on loading a program and or single WAV files.

Will these sounds work in my sampler?
All of our sound files are in WAV format and they will work in all samplers and audio programs that can import a WAV file. (Most do!) Our sounds are 44.1—16 bit WAV files...some are mono and some are stereo.

I paid for a sound set and never received a link for the download.
Sometimes the internet doesn't do what we intended. If you have completed a purchase of a sound pack and have not received an email with a link for your download, please contact us so we can issue you a link manually. You should check your "spam" folder as sometimes this is where an unknown sender email is placed.

How much memory do I need in my MPC to load a full kit?
Some of our sound packs are hefty in file size. This is largely due to providing some true stereo sound samples in some of our kits. A longer sample is usually going to produce a bigger sound file such as a cymbal crash with a long sustain or a special EFX sound. Kicks, snares and hi-hats are typically smaller in size. We recommend that you install the maximum amount of RAM into your particular MPC.

Can I get a CD of a sample pack instead of downloading?
We do not offer a physical CD. Downloading via the internet is by far the cheapest and easiest method of getting our product to you.

Can you help me with my Akai MPC?
Sorry, we are not able to diagnose or troubleshoot your MPC issues. Check out www.akaipro.com for answers to common questions.

Are the sounds I purchase "Royalty Free"?
Yes! When you purchase a sound pack from MPC Lounge you can use them in any way you like in your own productions. Go ahead and make a Top 10 Hit! There are no future royalties or payments due. However, you may NOT use our sounds to create another sample CD or sound-collection CD.

What kind of equipment do you use to create the sounds?
Of course we use Akai MPC's! Our favorite MPC is a 2000XL. It's been around awhile and is a true work horse. We also use numerous synths and samplers (Kurzweil, Korg, Ensoniq, EMU, Yamaha, Roland), and an Avid (Digidesign) Protools system with numerous plug-ins and effects. We use pre-amps by Avalon, Grace, and API.
